TIO SENT AN ANGEL NAMED "PHOENIX"

I'm a pretty straight up believer, but when Darryl told me the circumstances of his new dog, Phoenix, it made me wonder.........(Dog Heaven?).....Well, maybe.....!

If you read my tribute to "Tio", you know that Darryl put his K9 partner, Tio, down about 3 weeks ago. The next day, Darryl flew to Seattle with Jim Jeffries, the trainer, to choose another partner. For the next 3 days they looked at and worked with 5 dogs that showed good skill promise. But, almost from the onset of meeting and working with one dog in particular, Darryl knew that most likely they would fly back to Phoenix together.

I suppose the"strangeness" about all of this was that so many signs kept popping up to indicate which dog would be Darryl's new K9 partner. First, the dog's name was PHOENIX. Next, Phoenix was almost identical to Tio in looks. Third, Phoenix's skills were really good already and he took up with Darryl almost immediately. The last sign (so to speak) was the clencher. Phoenix had only one testicle. So did TIO! Coincidence? ;D ...who knows.



What we now know is thatPhoenix has transitioned wellinto his new family. Don't know about the how or why of it, but just in case...."Thanks Tio". I sure do miss you, and I still do love you. Thank you for the 'angel'.
